Ugh!
Well, unfortunately Melissa was right on the Day 5 comment. I did really catch something!
Luckily, I didn’t get the sickness my BIL had (so no throwing up…) Instead I got the illness my mom had 1-2 weeks ago. I honestly thought I was having a panic attack and going insane. On Monday morning, I had to call my mom to pick me up from work because I wasn’t feeling good.
Me: Oh man, you wouldn’t believe what happened to me the other night.
Mom: What was the matter?
Me: I seriously think I’m having a prolonged panic attack or some sort of axiety problem. My legs were shaking so bad.
Mom: Really? I’m glad to hear you say that because I thought there was something wrong with me!
So apparently we had the exact same symptoms! She said her legs were more twitching as opposed to the violent shaking I had.
On Sunday I ate 1 Eggo waffle and that was it. Monday I held down her recliner for about 8 hours until Shane came to pick me up, and all I had that day was about 4 slices of an apple. I had zero desire to eat or drink anything. By Tuesday I knew I needed to eat something, so I had 8 chicken nuggets from Chick-Fil-A (thanks again to my mom for bringing them to me!) but that was it for Tuesday. Finally today I’m getting a little bit of an appetite back. I had half a bowl of cereal for breakfast and now I’m having some chicken for dinner.
This is definitely the strangest illness I’ve ever had! I had no sore throat or congestion or anything, but I basically didn’t move for 4 days. I was going to bed around 8:30 and not waking up until 10 or 10:30 the next morning. I NEVER sleep in that late! And when I was awake, I was practically a zoned-out vegetable on the couch. My body just felt so heavy that I couldn’t move it. It felt like I had no muscles. I’m not very good at describing it, but suffice it to say I’ve been miserable.
But after missing 3 days of work, I’m glad to be going back tomorrow.
What I’m not glad about is that I’m behind on my 30 in 30. I was in no shape to do any of that, so now I’m going to have to do a couple a day to catch up and be done by Thanksgiving.
Sounds awful. I’m glad you’re on the mend.
Thanks!
